Tribute to the Mallee Emu Wren

A$350.00

Mallee Emu-wren is a tiny bird with a long, filamentous tail. It’s endangered due to recent bushfires.

I was inspired to represent this beautiful bird as if under a glass dome similar to scientific specimens that were collected in Victorian times by so called naturalists and collectors of natural history. It has become critically endangered due to the effects of climate and habitat destruction. This may be the only way we will see our native fauna in future.

Hand coloured etching

This is an original print on acid free Hanhnemuelle German etching paper. 300gsm

Small edition available

Framed/Unframed: Unframed.

Description : Etching plate printed in limited edition each with slight colour variations.

Size: artwork 40cms x 35cms | paper size 50cms x 48cms

Will be mailed flat due to the paper quality
