Tribute to the Mallee Emu Wren

A$350.00

Mallee Emu-wren is a tiny bird with a long, filamentous tail. It’s endangered due to recent bushfires.

I was inspired to represent this beautiful bird as if under a glass dome similar to scientific specimens that were collected in Victorian times by so called naturalists and collectors of natural history. It has become critically endangered due to the effects of climate and habitat destruction. This may be the only way we will see our native fauna in future.
