Creek Walks Exhibition

Artist Statement

I'm pleased to share that my latest collection, Creek Walks, will be exhibited at Belconnen Arts Centre in August. I hope you can come along to the opening night or visit the exhibition while it is on display!

Walk through this exhibition to become acquainted with my impressions of a creek flowing in this remote area of the S.E. Forests National Park (NSW). This is my response to the rich biodiversity within this unique natural habitat. The ever-changing play of light, the vibrant colours, and the rich, layered textures of this environment provided a boundless source of artistic inspiration.

I’ve worked primarily in collagraph, etching, and monoprint, allowing room for both precision and experimentation. Collagraph offers me the ability to build texture and depth, while monoprinting allows for spontaneity; layering, mixing colours, and capturing detail through the direct imprint of natural materials.

“The tactile experience of pressing leaves into the paper, feeling their contours and textures, connects me deeply to the natural world and its ephemeral beauty.”
